Jubilant

Five Sentence Fiction: Jubilant

Face turned upward, she smiled triumphantly as the sun warmly caressed her skin. In the beginning, it felt like those five years would go on for an eternity. Now she just wanted to wrap her arms around them, hold them close, and never let them go. Those years turned into memories, and now armed with the knowledge she'd aquried, she had new memories to make. Older, wiser, prouder than she’d ever been, she stepped up to shake the outstretched hand, grasp the hard earned diploma, and head out to place her personal stamp on the world.
